Located in Weston, in west Broward County, AIU South Florida is an easy commute from I-595, Sawgrass Expressway, and the Florida Turnpike-not to mention beaches, a diverse range of industries, museums, boutiques, and performing art centers. A commuter rail connects nearby Fort Lauderdale to Miami and West Palm Beach.

While Broward County used to be merely a tourism economy, it now supports a wide range of industries, including fashion, marine, manufacturing, finance, insurance, real estate, avionics/aerospace, film and television production, and high technology. It is an ideal location for students with career goals in business, fashion and media. AIU South Florida’s professors have experience in many of these industries, and AIU South Florida students have interned in these industries as well. Large companies based in the area include AutoNation USA, Citrix Systems, One Model Place, and National Beverage Corp.

Outside of the classroom, you can take in “Florida’s Most Beautiful Mile,” the Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk, recently finished in downtown Fort Lauderdale; stroll along Las Olas Boulevard-the “Rodeo Drive” of South Florida-shopping or seeking inspiration; catch a show or visit a museum exhibit in Fort Lauderdale’s Arts and Entertainment district; or enjoy a few of the 3,000 hours of sun the area receives annually. Just don’t forget to study. AIU South Florida professors say the school's students are among the most motivated they’ve seen: you don’t want to be the exception to the rule.
